Thanjavur
Our laptop service center Thanjavur is a proper repair bench in the delta, so a screen or a board fault no longer means a trip to Trichy or Chennai. Free diagnosis, then a written quote.
The reason this branch exists is distance. For a long time a delta laptop with a real fault meant a trip to Trichy or further, and a machine handed over to somebody you would never speak to again. Our Thanjavur bench does the diagnosis and the repair in the same room you hand it over in.
That matters most for the faults people put off. A hinge that has started to lift, a fan that has begun to rattle, a battery down to an hour. None of those are urgent, all of them get worse, and none are worth a day of travel until they are already expensive.
Not sure what you are dealing with? Read the warning signs a drive gives before it dies, or see the full list of repairs.

Cracked panels, flickering displays and hinges that have started to separate from the lid. Hinges are worth catching early, because a lifting hinge eventually cracks the panel it is attached to.
Machines that will not start, will not charge or show nothing on screen. Board level repair where it is possible, replacement where it is not, and a written answer either way.
Student project work and business records live on these drives. Failing drives, SSD upgrades and recovery from disks that still spin. See data recovery.
Genuine replacements. Worth checking properly, because in the delta a battery matters more than in a city with steadier power.
Field dust and humidity block cooling fins quickly. A laptop that has become slow and loud is usually just hot, and cleaning fixes it cheaply.
Dead keys, worn trackpads and charging ports that have gone loose. Small faults that make a working laptop unusable.
Most of our walk ins come from Thanjavur town, Kumbakonam, Papanasam, Orathanadu, Pattukkottai, Thiruvaiyaru, Budalur and Peravurani. Trichy and Mayiladuthurai are within a comfortable run when a machine needs a real bench rather than a shop that only swaps parts.
If travelling is difficult, we can arrange collection. A couriered machine gets the same written quote as a walk in and comes back with a note of the work that was done.
A large part of the delta workload is student hardware, and student machines have a particular problem: everything is on the drive and nothing is backed up. Tell us before we start if that is your situation, and we will clone the drive first where it is healthy enough to clone.
These are also machines where the honest answer is often not to spend the money. If a five year old laptop needs a board and a screen, we will say plainly that it is not worth it. There is a longer version of that reasoning in repair or replace.
If your Lenovo is still in warranty, bring the invoice. The Thanjavur bench is a Lenovo authorised service center, so warranty jobs are done here without affecting the cover, and we will tell you that rather than quoting you for something you are covered for. The authorised page explains what that status means.
Out of warranty, you get a choice between genuine, compatible and tested used parts, with the trade off explained rather than decided for you.
No, that is the point of this branch. Board level work is done here rather than shipped out.
Yes. Dell, HP, Acer and ASUS machines are on the bench most weeks. Brand only matters when a warranty claim is involved.
The assessment itself rarely keeps you waiting more than twenty minutes. Common part swaps are often same day. Ordered parts take longer, and you get a date at the quote stage.
A rough one, but not a reliable one. The same symptom has several causes and quoting before opening the machine is guesswork. The diagnosis is free, so there is nothing to lose by bringing it in.
Not if you tell us first. Where the drive is healthy we clone it before touching anything.
Yes, and it stays free if you decide not to repair.
