Screen and hinge damage
This is a known weak point on several IdeaPad and ThinkPad lids. Moreover, a failing hinge often pinches the display cable as it worsens.
Battery and charging
Batteries that stop holding charge, plus worn barrel and USB-C ports. Often the adapter is the real culprit, so we test that first.
Heat and throttling
Legion and Yoga models especially. Dust, dried thermal paste and worn fan bearings are the usual causes, and the fix is inexpensive.
