Screen & display

Cracked panels, dead pixels, flickering, backlight failure and the hinge damage that quietly severs a display cable. Moreover, we test the panel and the cable separately. So you never pay for a screen when the cable was the fault.

Battery & charging

Not holding charge, not charging at all, or only charging when the cable is held at an angle. Three different faults with three different costs, and often the cheapest one is the answer. We test the charger first.

Motherboard & chip-level

Dead machines, no power, no display, boot loops, and liquid damage. Similarly, this is the work most shops refuse and quote you a whole new board for. Of course, we repair at component level, which is usually a fraction of a board swap.

Storage & memory

Slow boots, freezes, blue screens and drives that click. Drive health is the first thing we check, because it is the one fault that puts your files at risk. You hear about it before we touch anything.

Cooling & performance

Loud fans, hot casing, and a machine that slows to a crawl after twenty minutes. Specifically, nine times out of ten this is heat, not age, and it is the cheapest visit we do. Many laptops people were ready to replace only needed this.

Keyboard, ports & body

Dead keys, an unresponsive trackpad, a USB port that only works upside down, or a cracked chassis. Each of these is a replaceable part. However, each can also be the board behind it. That is why we check both.

What our laptop repair services include

Our laptop repair services are grouped into six categories, because that is how faults actually arrive. For instance, a machine that will not switch on could be the battery, the port or the board. Each one is tested separately before we quote.

As a Lenovo authorised partner we use genuine Lenovo parts, and Lenovo gets first priority on the bench. However, our laptop repair services cover Dell, HP, Acer and ASUS as well. Warranty status can be checked on the Lenovo support site before you visit.

Every job follows the same order. First a free diagnosis, then a written quote, and finally the repair itself. Consequently nothing is replaced until you have agreed to the part and the price.
