Namakkal
Our laptop service center Namakkal does the work locally, instead of a day lost to Salem or Erode. Free diagnosis, a written quote, and the honest answer when a machine is not worth fixing.
Namakkal is a working town, and most of the laptops that reach this bench are working machines. Transport office billing, poultry farm records, college coursework and small business accounts. None of it is glamorous and all of it is needed on Monday morning.
That is the standard we work to. Diagnose properly, quote in writing, and give a date that holds. If a repair is not worth the money on the machine you have, we would rather tell you that than take it.
Not sure what is wrong yet? Read the warning signs a drive gives first, or see the full list of repairs.

152, Ullavan Complex, Salem - Namakkal Main Road, Namakkal 637001.
Office laptops that run all day and get no maintenance until they stop. Thermal cleaning, storage upgrades and preventative work that costs far less than the downtime does.
Farm and transport records sit on single drives with no backup. Failing drives, SSD upgrades and recovery from disks that still spin. See data recovery.
Machines that will not start, will not charge or show nothing. Component level repair where the board can be saved.
Cracked panels, flickering displays and hinges that have started lifting from the lid. Hinges get worse and then take the screen with them.
Warm rooms and road dust block cooling fins quickly. A slow, loud, hot machine is usually a cleaning job, not a replacement.
Worn batteries, dead keys and charging ports that have loosened over the years.
Walk ins come from Namakkal town, Rasipuram, Tiruchengode, Paramathi Velur, Sendamangalam, Mohanur, Komarapalayam and Kumarapalayam. Salem and Erode are close by, and people come the other way when they want the machine opened in front of them rather than sent away.
If the trip is awkward, collection can be arranged. A couriered machine gets the same written quote as a walk in and comes back with a note of the work done.
The most expensive thing we see in Namakkal is not a broken laptop. It is a broken laptop holding the only copy of two years of records. Hardware is replaceable at a known price. Data on a failed drive is not, and recovery is never guaranteed.
If your business runs on one machine, set up a backup before you need one. It takes an evening and it costs almost nothing compared to what a failed drive costs. Tell us at the counter if there is unbacked data on a machine you are handing over, and we will clone the drive first where it is healthy enough.
If your Lenovo is still in warranty, bring the invoice. The Namakkal bench is a Lenovo authorised service center, so warranty work is done here without affecting the cover, and we will tell you that rather than quoting you for it. The authorised page explains what it covers. You can confirm your own cover in a minute on the Lenovo support site.
Out of warranty, genuine, compatible and tested used parts are all legitimate answers depending on the machine and how long you need it to last. We explain the trade off instead of deciding for you.
No. Board level work is done at this bench rather than sent elsewhere.
Yes. Collection and return in one run is usually easier than bringing them in one at a time.
Yes. We see as many Dell and HP machines here as Lenovo ones.
Sometimes not, and we will say so. If the quote approaches what the machine is worth, replacing is the better call. There is a longer version in repair or replace.
Often, if the drive itself is not the fault. Bring it in and do not run recovery software on it first.
Yes, including if you decide not to go ahead.
